Welcome to Class Crossfell
Our teacher in class Crosfell is Mr Trinh and our teaching assistants are Miss Kelly, Miss McClaren and Miss Dean . We have a mixture of year 7-13 pupils in the class.
We are a class of 9 pupils who really enjoy an experiential curriculum. We access lessons such as Maths, English, science, DT, art, R.E, Geography and music through a theme.
This term Class Henson have been exploring ‘War and Peace’ which has been linked to all our lessons. We have learned to anticipate the difference between ‘War and Peace’ through music during the starter of our theme lessons. We have particularly enjoyed lessons exploring injuries in war. Dressing up in army uniform we have learned to role-play being injured, and also applying plasters and bandages to fake wounds.
In English we have been learning about ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ story by C.S Lewis. We would split some lessons by using the sensory room for our sensory story. Interacting with props from the story and identifying key points from the story has been a highlight. We have become very familiar with the story and can engage with who, what and where questions.
