Who are the Outreach Support Team?

Sarah Darby

Lead for Outreach and Inclusion

I am an Assistant Head Teacher at North Ridge with the responsibility for Behaviour, Outreach and Inclusion. I am a SEND SLE (specialist Leader in Education) and have experience working with schools to develop and improve their skills in supporting pupils on the Autistic Spectrum, with behaviour management, differentiation and assessment. I have delivered training in school and as part of our outreach service to mainstream and specialist support schools.

I am a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) coach and passionate about using PBS values and strategies to support young people to learn about and change their behaviour. I am trained in PECS, Lego Based Therapy and ELKLAN and have experience using these strategies to support pupil’s communication skills.

I am passionate about supporting pupils with SEND, and those working with and supporting them, to ensure their needs are met and that they access education to their full potential.

Kyparissia Gavriil
Teaching Assistant Level 3
I am a teaching assistant at North Ridge, where my main responsibilities are to support pupils with special educational needs in the classroom and provide outreach and assessment support across the entire school. I have a master’s degree in Psychology of Child Development from the University of Central Lancashire. Throughout my professional journey, I have gained valuable experiences working with individuals with special educational needs and mental health across various professional settings, including day centres, care homes and schools. My research and placement experiences in health psychology and developmental cognitive neuroscience have allowed me to interact with adolescents, their families and other healthcare professionals. In addition, I work as an applied behaviour analysis therapist helping children on the autistic spectrum improve their behavioural, social, communication and learning skills. As a member of the Outreach Support Team my primary goal is to encourage pupils to reach their full potential by offering them the support they need
