The North Ridge High School Outreach Support Team is dedicated to supporting the needs of SEND secondary aged pupils in mainstream education in North Manchester. We assist and work collaboratively with our partner schools to support colleagues in meeting the needs of their pupils to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We aim to empower colleagues to deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for their pupils building on the initial support they have received from us. The North Ridge Outreach Support Team draws on years of experienced forward thinking teaching staff from a multi-disciplinary background to ensure we can offer the most up to date, relevant support for our partner schools.

I am an Assistant Head Teacher at North Ridge with the responsibility for Behaviour, Outreach and Inclusion. I am a SEND SLE (specialist Leader in Education) and have experience working with schools to develop and improve their skills in supporting pupils on the Autistic Spectrum, with behaviour management, differentiation and assessment. I have delivered training in school and as part of our outreach service to mainstream and specialist support schools.
I am a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) coach and passionate about using PBS values and strategies to support young people to learn about and change their behaviour. I am trained in PECS, Lego Based Therapy and ELKLAN and have experience using these strategies to support pupil’s communication skills.
I am passionate about supporting pupils with SEND, and those working with and supporting them, to ensure their needs are met and that they access education to their full potential.
