North Ridge High School is committed to every young person getting the careers advice, information advice and guidance they need, and that this advice is in their best interest, and theirs alone.
North Ridge High School was awarded the Inspiring IAG Award Stage 2 in September 2019 for the careers provision delivered to young people.
We work with Career Connect, a Matrix approved organisation which provides quality independent careers advice, bridging the gap to learning and employment and better life chances for young people and adults.
Career Connect offers our students:
- Impartial Careers advice
- Advice and support to apply for college courses
- Advice and support to apply for apprenticeships, traineeships, supported Internships and volunteer work
- Job-searching
- CVs, job applications and interview preparation
- Information and advice on local, training opportunities (paid and unpaid)
Our school Careers Lead is Elaine Redpath and our Careers Adviser is Steve Leach from Career Connect.
