Welcome to class Olympus!

 

Our teacher is Ms Truscott and we have 2 teaching assistants. There are 13 pupils in our Key stage 3/4 class, we are a mix of years 9, 10 and 11 pupils.

 

Information about what our pupils work towards and the learning they access:

In Key Stage 4 we are developing our ability to work independently and preparing for adult life through a broad and balanced curriculum that gives us opportunities to experience new and exciting topics. This year in Class Everest we will be working towards the Life Skills Challenge ASDAN and Arts Award, while also focusing on developing practical independence in areas such as maths, PSCHE, creative studies and life skills. Pupils will also explore opportunities for work experience within school, while practising key skills including communication, self-management, teamwork, self-belief and problem solving. These experiences will help pupils to build confidence, develop independence and prepare for the future
