Crossfell
Welcome to class Crossfell!
In class Crossfell, our teacher is Ms Small and we have 3 teaching assistants. We are a mix of 10 students from year 8 all the way up to Sixth form. We have a range of learning, physical and medical needs in our class.
Information about what our pupils work towards and the learning they access:
Students in our experiential classes learn through doing, feeling, exploring, and engaging the senses. Students engage in hands-on opportunities that encourage them to connect with the world around them in practical, purposeful ways.
Individual progress is measured using Engagement Steps alongside personalised targets in core subjects such as Maths and English. Our curriculum focuses on four key areas of development:
-Communication
-Cognition and Learning
-Social and Emotional Development
-Sensory and Physical Needs
Through this holistic approach, each learner is supported to develop essential life skills, confidence, and independence.
Students also work towards achieving the ASDAN Diploma in Personal Progress, which they complete by the end of Year 14.
Take a look at our curriculum map to see what we are learning this term.
